Jana Horáčková (1962) studied at the Type and Book Culture department of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. During her studies, she participated in an internship at the Nottingham Polytechnic University, focusing on digital font processing, and later took part in several collective exhibitions, where she presented her work (for example Experiment and Typography by Peter Biľak). She is currently involved in research work among tribal communities of the Alto Purus river basin in Amazonia, where she she is studying medicinal and ritual herbs as part of her doctorate studies.
